making your own baby food - meats

I tried to search but didn't find an answer and honestly its late and i'm too tired to search anymore..
Do most of you puree it or serve it some other way when introducing it for the first time.

I can't stomach the thought of pureed meats Chat Icon
I just shredded it up into teeny, tiny pieces and gave it to DS that way.

My DD is 7 months old and she just started meats. She gags on anything not pureed so I did puree her meats. It took some playing around with though!!! I roasted a chicken with vegetables I would give her and pureed it in the Vitamix. I had to add liquid to the puree to make it thinner since it was very thick and grainy. I tasted it and it isn't bad! Just looks aweful!!!Chat Icon

ditto! Thats how we introduced it too.

But after a lot of trial (sometimes purree is just easier on the go) I noticed if I puree it with potato, it changed the texture, and its not terrible.
