March mommies - are you still working?

I'm 36w4d and still doing the NYC commute. It's starting to get rough (especially with sciatica) but I'm trying to stick it out for at least another couple of weeks. Who else is still hauling their butt to work?

Re: March mommies - are you still working?

38w3d and I'm still at work....

I'm only 12 minutes from my house but I can't even drive that much without my hands falling asleep..so I'm coming in with my sis and my mom is picking me up....

but I'm so tired...my pubic bone hurts like if I was kicked there 100x and I have a headache that doesn't want to go away ... as of Tuesday's appt...I am not dilating or effacingChat Icon

I want to stay here as far in as possible but its becoming very hard!!!!

Re: March mommies - are you still working?

ugh yes. I have a real short drive though- about 20 minutes.
But I am miserable, I always feel like I have menstrual cramps, I waddle everywhere, and I can't bend over to file anything or pick up stuff I drop.
Plus sitting in a chair lasts about 4 hours before causing sciatic pain.

36W 3D and still at work. Fortunately I work less than 5 minutes away from home. But I am so done with this place! I'm working up until the end. Chat Icon

37 weeks tomorrow and I have no doubt that my water will break while I am in one of our weekly staff meetings. LOVELY!! Only plus side is that I am closer to the hospital from work than I am from home. And my commute isn't bad at all - about 15 minutes tops.

I stopped working three weeks ago. The bus and train commute had gotten way too much for me to handle. Just had no more energy left.

Re: March mommies - are you still working?

My last day is March 14 (next friday) - at first I thought I would work till the end, but with Carpel TUnnel in both hands and so much still to do at home, I'm looking forward to it. Not to mention that a big Project in NJ just came up for the week of the 17th and there is NO WAY I'm going - so the timing couldn't be better.

My colleagues all hope my water breaks on the new carpet they just installed Chat Icon (everyone here hates it and it was a PITA when they installed it)

I'm only 15 minutes from home so its not so bad for the time being...can't imagine commuting into NYC...

I'm trying my hardest to work until the end but lately I have been extremely exhausted. Due date is on the 15th. Hopefully I will be able to last that long or better yet Chat Icon will be here soon.

I worked until I was 38w and 5d. I commuted from E. Meadow to Riverhead and the drive was torture. It is so great to be home

Im 38w today and I'm still teaching. I'm trying work as long as I can, because I know if I take my leave, I'm not going to be active anymore just sitting my behind down at home watching soaps!!!
