Mastic ladies...some info please..

Area, S/D...I don't even know what school my daughter is going to be going to? Any info on the schools (programs, after/before care, etc.)

Where in Mastic are you going to live? There are 4 or 5 elementary schools in the district. I grew up in Mastic and have friends in the area with elementary level kids.

A co-worker of mine lives in Shirley. Her daughter went to a pre-K program through the district 2 years ago that she was very happy with. This year her DD was in kindergarten. I'm not sure that they offer before/after care--she is using a private sitter. She was having issues with violence on the school bus, but I think her husband got that resolved.

ETA: I think some of Mastic is William Floyd and some is Eastport-South Manor. A friend of mine is a principal in Eastport-South Manor.

I live in Mastic Beach - we are in the william floyd school district - my son is currently in Hobart Elementary - one of the I think 5 - when i needed the before/after care he went to Colonial Youth - which is right thru the school district - they would do activites or play on the playground (all supervised) until i picked him up.
