Maternity clothes/sizes...

I'm 11 weeks today, with twins. Between morning sickness & the stomach flu I actually lost about 15 pounds... But my pants are extremely tight/uncomfortable in my abdomen & my fitted shirts are getting really snug.
I'm supposed to go on vacation in a month, assuming the Dr allows me to. To someplace much warmer than here... And I'm not sure I'm going to fit in my clothes by that point. To add to the fun, I've been on bed rest for the past few weeks due to a low lying placenta that bleeds off & on & completely freaks me out.
Hoping that may change ib the next couple of weeks, but given my history I think they're taking extra precautions when it comes me me. 2 other drs said everything looks good, but none will release me from bed rest as they didn't put me on it. Which is ok with me as I'm terrified.
That being said, if I get off bed rest & get the ok to go, I need summer clothes. I was an XL top & size 16 bottom but I have no clue what size I should be getting, if I try to plan ahead.
On average, how many sizes did you go up around 14/15 weeks, as well as your entire pg? I'm at a total loss here. I know everyone is different but trying to figure if I should go up 1 size for a month from now, or 2? I'm so confused... Tia!

I'm currently 14 weeks and already in maternity pants and tops. Most of my clothes are from ON and they run pretty true to size... I just buy the same size that I was in before and they fit perfectly.

I went on a beach vacation around the same gestational time frame, and just went with my usual size in maternity pants (stretchy waiste band) and it was fine.

I bought a lot of long sleeve tees from gap and they fit fine at the end. I was 36 weeks. I also liked their tanks and tanks from target. Oh and dresses from old navy. I didjng bother with going up in regular sizes. I just got stretchy maternity shirts. I bought my normal size in them.

I bought maternity clothes at 14 weeks I think. I tried them on and bought what fit. They expanded with me and fit throughout my pregnancy. When I was around 28 weeks I needed the next size up in pants. I only went to 30 weeks so I don't know how things would have fit later.

I hit tanger today and went to the maternity store there. I got 3 shirts and a dress and spent $38 since it was all on clearance b/c it's spring/summer stuff, but I figure I can wear it around the house plus have it for vacation next month if I get to go--- hopefully it'll fit in the summer and if it doesn't at least it wasn't $$$$

I would really suggest holding up buying clothes until you get alittle further & just deal with what you have. YOu will only have to buy bigger clothes again for a 2nd time & IMO it's a waste of money. Try & get some 2nd hand. There is website on facebook with tons of women selling there maternity clothes. moms of multiples resale is the page. I was size 16 when prego with my twins. I only gained 44lbs & was wearing big 2X shirts & was ok with that.

I have some XL shorts from my first pregnancy I can probably send you...since I was due in August back then and May now I likely won't be needing them...I think they are Old Navy..let me know!
