Hi! I know I'm jumping into an already established group. I hope no one minds. I just found out about this site.
My name is Debbie. I am 37 years old and am due on May 9th with my 2nd child. My DD is 11 (will be 12 when baby arrives).
I live on the South Shore but grew up in Northport so my Doctor is located there and I'll be delivering in Huntington. Anyone else?
I guess I have some catching up to do. Starting from the beginning. lol

Hi Debbie, welcome! Jumping right in is the thing to do!  Ooh, you're due on Mother's Day!! That's pretty cool. I'm due exactly 1 week before, on May 2nd... I'm hoping baby doesn't arrive TOO late and will be here by/before mother's day.
I have my 16 week appointment tomorrow after work. I have no idea if they do a sonogram at that visit, but to be honest, my OB's sonogram machine is SO not clear, lol. I have my 20 week appointment in mid December at the hospital for the anatomy scan and I can't wait to see a clearer pic of baby!!!

YAY!!! had to go for an emergency appointment last night...I had a headache for over 30 hrs! but anyway...while i was there they did a sono just to check the babies were ok and WE FOUND OUT!!!!! Baby A is 5oz and a  and Baby B is 4 oz and a  ...we waited until we got home and were with our families to "open the envelope".....we are sooo excited! WOOHOO!!

Exciting news from my fellow May mommies! Yay! I go for my NT scan today, I'm 12w5days....I am so happy that on Saturday I can say I'm 13 weeks! That's about 7 to find out the gender and I CAN'T wait! I feel like I want to fast forward time and find out soooo badly! I'm sure many of you are with me!
I'm realllyyy hoping I can have an appointment before Christmas and find out then so I can share it with my family! I'll be 17 weeks the Saturday before Christmas....what do you ladies think? If I go in that week of Christmas, I'll be 17w2,3 or 4 days lol, would I have a shot or still too soon? lol

hi again-
Had my 16 week appointment last night. all is well. baby's heartrate was 140 (same as DD's at 16weeks although intelligender said boy!).
decided to get the swine flu shot since they had it. way too many kids and teachers at my school have been sick with H1N1 so i decided the benefits outweighed the risks.
going for my 20w on december 23rd and we'll be finding out the sex finally!!

i am sooo frustrated!!! went yesterday for my 15 week checkup and they still can't tell the sex. i know it's kinda early but so many people have found out what they are having and i still don't know what these little peas are!! arrrrrgh!!!

i think the reason we found out so early is because my high risk doctor did my sono and they have really good equiptment.. so not sure if thats why

andrea, YES, thats your Level II, its the anatomy scan and the last tests to look for markers for problems or defects You are team green, right? They wont tell you unless you want to know the sex... its a long, in depth sono. They look at all the organs, measure bones etc

level II is in 36 hours
nothing else new really, this kid has been kicking non-stop for the last week or so

We had our Level II on Friday! I am 20w2d today. Baby thankfully looked great and I have to say, that ultrasound was THE.COOLEST.THING.EVER!!! I loved seeing the baby in SO much detail and depth! Seeing his/her actual heart beating And everything else.
We stayed team green... for now. lol.
Had our 20w appointment with our doctor and my next appointment is at 24 weeks and I have to do the glucose test then! Ugh. We also got our pre-registration forms for the hospital and the list of available classes. Fun stuff!

nothing new here.. still feeling pain and pressure from the stitch in my cervix.
not on bedrest yet!
i go every 2 weeks for a sono at the high risk, so they are keeping an eye on me!

I'm 18 weeks and feeling pretty good!I'm going for the anatomy scan on 12/22. I can't wait to see the baby! We are hoping to find out the sex and then will tell our families on Christmas Eve. Wish I was feeling some movements but nothing yet.
I really love being pregnant!

I'm feeling so so lately. I've been naseaus all week and threw up for the first time yesterday :( I've had some extra energy which is nice. My level II is schedueled for January 14th and can't wait to find out the gender of my baby!!!!!!!
