measuring smaller from one week to next?
ok so either way my sono measures me smaller than my Conception date. but last week...sono tech measured me at 6w1d (when I was more like 6w7d) then one full week LATER...she tells me I'm measuring 5w6d...how is this possible????
then when I tried to question the Dr. and have her look at both sonos again she made me feel like I was bothering her! she says "ugh, I'm one Dr. with 30 patients, you're killing me here!" needless to say...I'm looking into other gyn's

Yeah, I would totally look into seeing another doctor. The most accurate sonos for gestational age are the ones before 12 weeks.

Baldwin. I was reffered to Dr. Matthew Dilena in garden City but I know he's often booked up. I like having a Dr. thats easy to set up an appointment for...especially since I manage retail.

I go to University Plaza OB/GYN on Stewart Ave. in Garden City, Drs Rosenberg, Miller & Cafaro. They're pretty flexible with appointment scheduling, they have both evening and Saturday hours. They're affiliated with Winthrop.

Re: measuring smaller from one week to next?
bumping to see if anyone has ever seen sono measurements go backward as you progress in pregnancy.
hoping it was just a miscalculation. It's so bugging me and I'll hafta wait til friday for next sono.
we saw flicker but sono tech's still couldn't pick up heartbeat on doppler.
my progression has basically been:
Jan 31st - BFP feb 1st - Sono shows sac, no yolk. beta shows hormones raising VERY well feb 4th - sac and yolk show, levels raising well feb 8th - sac and yolk...still no embryo, hor raising feb 12th - sac and yolk...still no embryo, feb 20th - Embryo shows, heartbeat flicker but can't pick it up on doppler. feb 27 - embryo still shows, flicker still there...still can't get heartbeat on doppler. waiting for beta results.
based on this wouldn't I had to have been at least 4 weeks when getting BFP? which would make sense if I think I'm 8 weeks now and concieved Jan 17th.
I'm praying to god that my worry is for nothing and that everything is just fine. I'll be calling another ob/gyn tomorrow

I agree, you should be 7-8 weeks. There's nothing you can do but wait. When you say the sono tech couldn't pick up the HB on a doppler, did you mean through the sono machine?

Nope, you can hear it pretty early. I was 6w6d & we saw & heard it. It was done trans vag, so maybe with the external doppler sono, you might not be able to hear it.

depends on the quality of the machine they have in the office and the skill of the tech, they heard mine at 6 weeks at one place clear as a bell, and barely could make it out at 10 weeks at another.

Re: measuring smaller from one week to next?
im sorry 30 patients? give me a break. thats so uncalled for. like you dont have a job that you are busy at? if i ever said that to one of my clients i would prob loose that business. Def go to a dr that is going to take the time to speak with you and make you feel comfy. hopefully this wont happen but things may come up down the road where you need information from the dr and you dont want to feel as if your a burden. im sure theres a lot of drs that we can help recommend to you! as far as heartbeat....we just saw the flicker no sounds until much later on.
