Meh! Charlie Horses!
I got one last night in a few years... but in the past whenever I would get one, 2 or 3 more would follow in the next few weeks.
I know stretching after working out helps (which I did yesterday ) but is there anything else that you do to avoid them? It's so not a pleasant way to wake up.
Thanks!

Re: Meh! Charlie Horses!
Someone once told me to increase water, that a Charlie horse was a sign of dehydration. Not sure how true that is.
And who is this Charlie anyway, man should be tarred and feathered! Charlie Horses are the worse!

Re: Meh! Charlie Horses!
I had one last week, and it hurt!!!
I told my husband I had a charley horse and he had no idea what I was talking about. I then asked about this word in the office and they had no idea what I was talking about...
Turns out it is a phrase only used in North America.

Re: Meh! Charlie Horses!
definitely increase water and potassium - and if you happen to get one in the middle of the night - stand up right away. The pressure of your foot on the floor gets rid of them immediately.
For whatever reason, they are common in pregnancy.
