Re: ugh...2 charlie horses in one night
I've found that an easy and quick way to get them to go away quickly is to flex your toes up and back towards you as your having the pain, I swear by this it makes the pain stop.
Try this next time

Yeah they are not pleasant but if that technique works for you keep doing it, mine don't last long when I do this. Also, make sure you are drinking lots of water, it helps to keep them from happening.

Re: ugh...2 charlie horses in one night
I just started this this week. My Dr suggested lots of water and to take a calcium supplement (I take caltrate plus vit D) and making sure I eat things with magnesium (sp?)...potatoes, tomates, avacado.
Good luck...so far it seems to be helping

Whenever I get them I wake my DH up and make him flex my toes up for me!!!
Sometimes the cramp is so tight that he has trouble getting my toes to move!!!

Re: ugh...2 charlie horses in one night
I have had quite a few in the last few weeks. The quickest way for me to get rid of them - jump out of bed and stand on it. Someone told me the flexing thing and to practice my breathing at this point.
