Miracle Blanket users come in please

This question is for a friend. She just started using the MB on her DS. It seems to be keeping him up - more then putting him to sleep - he grunts alot and moves - approx. every 15 minutes.

The thing is - before the MB he was crying and screaming.

She doesn't know if he's getting a good sleep or not since he's always moving around.

What do you think? She is constantly having to Shhhhh him to sleep also - all the time.

I didn't have this issue with the MB so I'm not sure how to help her.

ANY feedback at all will help!

THANKS! Chat Icon

DS is a grunter and a squirmer!!!!!!!!!!!! It drove us nuts! But we found out after a month that it was normal. He was still asleep. We were very thankful to move him into this own room at 7 weeks. We all sleep much better. Grunts aren't as loud on the monitor. Chat Icon

ETA: Tell her not to shhhhh, just let it be!

I didn't have this happen so I'm not sure what advice to give, but I think I'd take grunting and moving over screaming and crying. He might just be a baby who needs extra soothing.

Can I add a question to the list? Do you take the baby out of the blanket for middle of the night feedings?

I didn't. I re-wrapped him up tight and then fed him like that.

I remember asking the ped about all the noises they make and he told me that they are like little old men. Lots of noise and smells but you love them anyway. Chat Icon

DD grunted and moaned a LOT when we first used the MB. However, she eventually stopped (I have no idea how long it took, though!) and slept ever so soundly (we JUST stopped using it last week Chat Icon).
