Mixing too much powdered formula with water

DH just realized that when he made DDs bottle this morning, he used 6 scoops instead of 3 with 6 ounces of water.

I'm not worried about it, but should I be?

don't do this...it specifically says NOT to do this. There was a father in the paper that did this, although repeatedly...not a good outcome.

I'm sure your DS is fine, probably just have a thicker poop. sorry tmi. Just make the next bottle as normal.Chat Icon

hmmm, when DS was having pooping issues, our ped told us to do this. said probably too much powder for him, either lessen the amount or add water Chat Icon thankfully it didnt last more than a week

I know you aren't doing the same thing as this father did, but he was trying to save money by not putting as much formula in the bottles. He did it to every bottle. He gave his child water poisoning and the baby did not live.

I think it might make it harder to flow out the nipple too as it will be thicker...
