How it the world does this stuff happen??? Im glad to hear the mother got the baby out of crib before something terrible happened. I just cant believe it. Wow!! is all i can say.

My Dh laughs at me, because now I have no fear with bugs anymore. If I see one I kill it without even squiring, because I don't want them near my baby.

Actual no it doesnt....
If you "lose" a snake you can usually find it in the closest warmest spot to the tank..so if the mattress was stored in a back room somewhere it's quite feasible that the snake would have crawled into the mattress for warmth. It could have been close to a heat vent or waterheater etc...
The idea that a snake would have crawled through a window looking for shelter from the heat is ridiculous. California King Snakes are non poisonous desert snakes...they would have crawled under a rock or something..not crawled up a house and in an open window...
That being said...of course anything is possible...but it's highly highly unlikely...the fact that I know such things is just as unlikely but I unfortunately do..(DH breeds snakes)
