Mom shaming at its finest....
So I’m in the target baby aisle with my 16 month old twins as they literally ate an entire bag of goldfish from the bag to stay quiet while I shop. So I’m buying gifts for the half dozen showers I have coming up trying to keep track of everyone’s “brand requests” that seem to be going on lately. Anyway, there was a few moms in the aisle and I’m waking up and down by the diapers and then the baby food and I see a mom with 4 kids, all can’t be older than 2 or 3 and a newborn. She’s looking at the formula and another mom walks by and scoffs. The woman with the kids turns around thinking one of her kids did something and the mom asks if everything is ok and this f^^*%^*ing horrible b*^*+ch tells this mother she is voluntarily poisoning her child with the formula she is causally shopping for. This mother broke out in tears and walked away. I felt so horrible for this woman I didn’t even know what to do, I just stood there speechless! Another mom ripped this btch a new one. I just I can’t believe it still! Fed is best people!! Maybe she couldn’t BF!!?! Like WTF!

What a disgusting person. Glad she was ripped a new one. Unless that mother was sharing her crack pipe with her kids, she should keep her mouth shut.

I believe in breastfeeding but a completely different thing is acting like a total asshole like this woman! The way she acted is what gives such a bad rep to breastfeeding and it is the complete opposite of what breastfeeding awareness is all about! Just like the other woman did, I’d have also b!tch slapped her!

I love how this woman thinks formula is “poison”, but acting like a rude, condescending b*tch is totally ok. Not even mentioning this woman’s right to feed her child as she sees fit, how does she know this baby isn’t adopted? Orphaned? Maybe the mother had a mastectomy? Is currently going through chemo? What an asshole.

Why do people care so much what others do? I just don’t get it. Don’t people have better things to do? Maybe I’m self-absorbed, but who has the energy to care what others do (aside from illegal activities)?

Only a most pathetic woman would comment on a stranger’s method of feeding a baby. What a sad life she must have, glad someone tore into her.

Honestly I would have laughed if someone said that to me! Especially if I was on my fourth kid. By my third I didn't give a crap about how anyone viewed my decisions as a parent. I do feel bad for the girl because obviously it upset her and the woman that made the comment needs something better to do with her time.

Wow, that's terrible! That poor woman. Fed is best, and that woman should have minded her own damn business.

I feel awful for not even saying anything, I just stood there so shocked that nothing came out of my mouth, I’m grateful this other woman stepped in. I just I’m still so upset for this woman and I hope she knows she’s doing her best!

Broke out in tears? I would have punched that fuking bitchh in the throat. It would have been a bad scene and store security would have probably had to get involved. I would have also told her my thoughts on breastfeeding which I normally keepto myself because they aren't popular. That's the issue ..you can't let a bully get to you. Women need to stand up for themselves. I should start giving lessons on how to be a bitchh. I can hold a master class

What a miserable b!tch! With everything horrible going on in this country, I don't understand how people think formula feeding is something they need to waste energy on. I am so glad another mom ripped her a new one!

This was my exact thoughts. I would have punched her. After getting in trouble when I was younger for fighting I swore I would never be the first person to throw the first punch again. This situation I would have gladly gotten arrested for.

Mom shaming at its finest....
Sigh. I guess this happens more than I thought (because even once is one time too many). It happened to me... and my DD is 13 now, so it was a long while ago. In WalMart, of all places. I was stunned. I would like to say I backhanded the woman, but I didn't. I think I just kind of stood there with heat in my face... I was so embarrassed.
But she didn't know. She knew nothing of my circumstances, nothing about me. She made terrible assumptions from up on her high horse and used those assumptions to harass me, a tired and overwhelmed new mother (with a side of depression). I think I might have just stood there slack jawed for a minute and then picked my baby girl up and walked out. I'm sure I cried later.
For what it's worth--if that mom from the aisle is out there and reading this by chance--my DD is now 13 and consistently on the high honor roll. She is a competitive swimmer. She is an amazing photographer. She is one of the kindest, most loyal, well-mannered and giving teenagers you will ever meet. If that's what this "poison" does... well, I guess I made a huge mistake.

I would like to add as well my "poison" fed daughter is NEVER sick. When coxsackie was running rampant in her day care she never got it, she never gets a stomach bug, never gets the flu, hasn't been sick ONCE this winter and this has been a a bad one. She has the immunity of a horse. She walked at 9 months old. She hit every single milestone early. She's smart as a whip at 8 years old now. So yeah, I'll take that kind of poison any day. I'd do it again and again and again if I had more kids. To me, formula is the best thing ever invented!!!!
