Mommies of children of the same sex (close together in age) - silly question for you
We were just discussing this yesterday with my husband - and I figured I would post it here.
My DDs are 20 months apart and are both potty trained so they wear underwears - right?! They pretty much wear the same size now (3T - 4T) in panties and they often end up sharing undies after I wash them. They have separate rooms but lots of times they like the characters on the undies and will end up wearing each other's panties. DH thinks that nasty - I really don't - I mean - they are clean underwears and the girls are so young to even care if her sister wore the underwear a few days/weeks ago...lol My girls are 4 and 2.5 years old.
Me and my sis are 13 months apart and we shared a room and panties for a while...lol.....Im throwing this out there because I don't know if this is the norm or if some parents label their child's underwear if their children are the same size.
SO please help me settle this with DH!

I think its fine for now. They are SO young, and as long as theyre washed obviously, like you said I dont see a problem with it at all!
BTW sorry I'm not a BTDT mom at all with 2 girls, just a 4 mos DS but I'm pretty sure if my sister I were the same size when we were young we would have done the same thing though.

3 girls within 13 months. I will make an attempt to separate everyone's panties.
I give myself 2 weeks before I give up.

If Ry and Xav are ever the same size i'm sure they'll share also. Unless they like completely different characters I can't see how I would tell them apart anyway.

yup they share.....I guessed at your question before opening it up and I was right! I asked my friend who has twin girls the same thing.

My girls share. Only one has a dresser so I keep all the underwear in the same drawer. Although they both have "favorites" so now at 2 & 3 when they pick them out they normally chose the same kind every time so they don't share as much anymore.
There will come a time when they don't have to share. For now the way I see it as people buy used cloth diapers and reuse them, at least my girls don't pee and poop in them

My DD and niece are 2 months apart. They constantly switch outfits down to the underwear after a bath or a sleepover. I don't see the big deal at all.
They are little girls after all- not grown women.

I write their first initials on the band of the underwear in Sharpie marker. I am in agreement with your DH, sorry... the thought of them sharing something like underwear skeeves me.

I will be keeping their underwear seperate. some things they don't have to share
PP, the initials are a great idea my MIL did that bc she had 4 boys all the same size !

Re: Mommies of children of the same sex (close together in age) - silly question for you
I'm glad that this was posted...I just bought a bigger size for my older one (to try to differentiate), but I think they are too big.
My sister and I are 4 years apart, but there were huge fights in our house about socks. My mom actually had to embroider a different color dot on each of our socks to end the fighting!

DS2 is not potty trained yet but I am sure once he is, they will be "sharing" everything!
