Moms of 16-20 month olds...where are you taking your DC's for vacation this summer?
DS is 16 months now so by the time it warms up (May/June) he'll be 19 months. We wanted to take him to Sesame Place but I think he might be too young for it. Where else could we go that DS would enjoy? I'm open to any and all suggestions...even if it involves a plane! We just need a vacation!

To the hospital to visit his new baby sibling. 
I think anywhere there's a beach would be heaven for a 16-20 month old! we took DS @ 1 year and he loved every second of it.

We have a boat so we'll spend most of the summer on Fire Island so beach it is for us. If we do go away anywhere, I'd want it to be Disney. DS is 19 months now and will be 2 the end of June.

We're taking DS to sesame place this summer when he's about 18m in July. We'll see how he likes it and might go again in sept.

We're planning a few days to Nantucket - DS traveled well when we went to Montauk for a few days, so hopefully it'll be just as easy this summer! (Fingers crossed)
I would love to go to Sesame Place too - around what age is it best to start there? Is 20 months too young?

DS is only 14 months now, he'll be 17 months by the summer. We are going to Hawaii in March which will be our last trip for a while, since he'll be getting a brother or sister in June.

im not really sure but i was looking at the site and all of the rides/activities looked more for older kids 3-5 y/o's. maybe im wrong. i hope im wrong lol! my original plan was sesame place this year then disney next year when DS would be almost 3.
theres always great wolf but we could do that anytime of year because its indoor. i wanted to take him somewhere when it was warm out.

My family lives in Maine & we have a lake house there. Since DH can only take a week off, I will be taking the kids for 2 weeks (DH will join us for 1). Since we did not have a summer last year, we want to enjoy this one!

We are going to Israel this summer. That blows our budget for any other possible trips  Hope he does well for the 11 hour plane ride 
We will probably do a weekend in Delware. It doesn't cost much because we have friends that live in Ocean View by Rehobeth and Bethany. I love it there!

DS is 15 months now...So far we have planned a trip to Williamsburg, VA in May. We are going to NH for a week in late June and we hope to get to Sesame Place sometime over the summer...Nothing is set in stone yet but we are looking into everything..

We're going on vacation, like we do every year, to Lake George. Also have a wedding in VT and DD is coming (for the weekend). NJ shore for a weekend. Seasame Place for a day (maybe overnight). I can't wait for summer!! DD is 16 months now too.

We are house/child poor so there aren't any vacations in the forseeable future for us

Myrtle Beach and the JErsey Shore (if it ever stops snowing so I don't have to use all of my PTO days to coincide with daycare snow days).

Probably not going too nuts this summer. We did buy a house in the Fall with a big backyard and indoor pool (although I haven't seen it in a while under the snow). We'll spend time back there, the beach, day trips, etc
We're going to Aruba the end of this month so he'll have fun there

Last summer my DD was 22 months and we took her to Sesame Place (which I hated - I thought it was small and filthy) and we took her to The Childrens Museum in Philly while we were in PA. The Childrens Museum was AMAZING!!!! It was beautiful and there were soooooooo many fun activities and interactive things for my DD to do. She LOOOOOVED it!!!! We also went to the Crayola Factory and she liked it but I thought she was a touch young for it.
We also went to Mystic, CT and took her to the aquarium. That was a lot of fun, she loved the ferry ride up too!

I loved Sesame before they changed it. We originally went when DS was 18 mths and he LOVED it. We went back the following summer and we all hated it. We stayed at the park less than half a day.
This summer we are doing Ocean City, MD for a long weekend and Lancaster for a long weekend.

We just got back from Great Wolf and DD loved it! We're also planning to go to Sesame and Dutch Wonderland this summer. 19 months is definately not too young for Sesame! DS will love it. I took DD at 16 months and it was perfect!

hoping to do some fun things in May and June because just like some of the other ladies, number 2 is coming in July. I hope that we can make it to Dutch Wonderland at least and then after the new baby comes, I will probably have my parents take DS to the beach and pool while I stay home with a newborn fun!
