Please recommend your side by side double stroller.

Those who aren't due with #2 yet which ones are you looking at?

I am a stroller girl...but I really like the Maclaren Twin Techno for the mall, etc. and I have a Baby Jogger Performance Double that is great for walks and running. I also have a Graco Duoglider that I bought on clearance at BRU for $80 that served me well in the beginning because it held the carseat.

I know everyone raves about them but I have a Maclaren Quest and don't really like it. The Baby Jogger is one that I was looking at. Does it have an infant seat adapter?

Re: Moms of 2 under 2 or DC very close in age...

we are pretty sure we are getting the Valco tri mode twin . It is pricey but you can use it from birth on, and snap a car seat into it ( one) with an added attachment ( yet its still a side by side).....and for me the plus is an added toddler seat to make it a triple stroller.

The reviews for it are all pretty good...

Re: Moms of 2 under 2 or DC very close in age...

I like the Maclaren because its the best of the bunch for what I needed...it fits in my trunk easily with other things and its not incredibly heavy. I love my Baby Jogger though...if I could convince my husband I would get the City Mini also, but the performance series one wasn't cheap. They do have car seat adaptors, I believe, but not on the Performance series.

I was looking at the City Mini in BBB...that is the one I thought I wanted. The seats seem very narrow to me. I tried to test it out with Rylan and he was not cooperating at all...lol.

I thought I was getting the City Mini too and we decided against it for the same reason. The seats seem narrow even without the infant seat adapter. Every pic I've seen of it with the infant seat seems that the poor older child is completely encroached upon. Colin would be knocking the baby off the stroller in a day Chat Icon

I really need to get on this as I'm 31w - I haven't really test driven these too much - but these are the ones I'm currently considering. All are infant-seat compatible; DC will be 19mos apart.

Mountain Buggy Urban Double
Bumbleride Indie Twin
Baby Jogger City Double
Valco Runabout Double
Easy Walker Duo

Right now I think the Mountain Buggy and the Easy Walker Duo are my top two.

Re: Moms of 2 under 2 or DC very close in age...

I got a Maclaren Twin Triumph that I bought second hand. I took DS to BBB to test out some strollers and the triumph was the only one where he seemed to sit comfortably and that I was able to steer easier. It was also lighter than the others I tested out.

My only concern is that there was a doll sitting in the seat next to DS and he looked at it, picked it up and threw it on the floor. I sure hope he doesn't do that when his little sister arrives! Chat Icon

I had the Mountain Buggy and hated it. I ended up selling it after 4 weeks. Unless they changed it, the wheels didn't lock closed and it was very awkward to lift in and out of my truck. I also bought the adapter for the infant carrier and you had to put it on and off each time. It couldn't close with it, plus with the adapter the baby faced out not facing you.It was a dream to push though.
If I had to do it again I would have gotten either the Bumbleride Indie Twin or BOB revolution twin (they have an adapter for that too. If I didn't want an all terrain then I should have went with the Zooper Tango.
I also that the Graco Quatro duo and hated that, but used it for 10 months. Now I have a sit-n-stand since they are almost 2 and 3 and can't stand that either. Ironically my older one wants to sit in the stroller now so I might end up getting the Chicco side by side.

This is what I have! This stroller is like the Cadillac of strollers.

Pros
turns on a dime
Can stroll with one hand, swerve if you have to with virtually no effort
Nice amount of storage
Pretty comfy for the kids
Straps are easy to buckle once you get the hang of it
Easy recline feature
High weight limit
Fits through most doorways

Cons
HEAVY-you have to be strong to lift this thing in and out of the car.
Stupid latching system to keep stroller closed-it is sort of a loop and a clip and its a PITA.
No cup holder or snack tray-must be ordered separately
Very expensive-I think it cost $749

Overall we are happyw ith it, but may actually get another stroller-maybe the Kolcraft tandem options stroller for quick trips in the store. I like that one because you can turn the seats to face you or face each other. That one does have a car seat adaptor. I saw it in Baby Depot for $199 and I *think they will take competitors coupons.

I have the bumbleride indie twin - my girls are 23 months apart and so far I really love it. I can use my snugride 32 with it - and DD#1 is still very comfortable in it. It has a great basket underneath that can fit a lot and it maneuvers very well. I am very happy with it and have used it several times already.

I LOVE my bumbleride indie twin - I tested TONS of strollers and this one just stood out by the way it looks and how nice it rides.

I also use the Maclaren Twin Triumph for short runs here and there because it's lighter
