Moms of 20 months+ pls come in - diaper related

Do you still carry diapers with you in your diaper bag?

I have a little diaper/wipe carrier that I always keep in my diaper bag, but I just realized that I hardly ever use it.

I'm thinking of just keeping it in the car.

What do you all do?

Re: Moms of 20 months+ pls come in - diaper related

yes, but we go out a lot, pretty much every day and sometimes I run a lot of errand etc.,

Theres rarely a day we dont need a diaper change while Im out somewhere....so If I'm carrying a purse, I will keep 2 diapers and wipes in there.

I always have 1-2 with me in the diaper bag, but you could definitely keep them in the car. Only thing is, with the upcoming heat & humidity, I wonder if the wipes would dry out after a bit? Chat Icon

Before G was potty trained, actually I still carry this with me ( for accidents)

It holds at least 2 diapers, a small pack of wipes (small package, so dont dry out) and comes with a changing pad.

So small it fits in my bag or I leave in car and attach to stroller.

You always NEED wipes handy.

I just keep it in the car.

I have two black purses now, one for work (no baby crap) and one for the weekend (some baby crap)

Unless we are going to be out the whole day (like 10-6) he usually doesn't need a change.

Good lord, I always knew DD was a MASSIVE pee-queen, but she could NEVER go that long with the same diaper on. We have to change her every 3 hours, MINIMUM. Boy, the $$ I could save on diapers Chat Icon She just drinks massive amounts of water, and not sure if the kidney thing affects her pee yet.

Wow, I'm jealous Chat Icon

This is what I have also!

I should have also said that I carry wipes with me in my diaper bag, travel ones. So I do always have them with me. Just wondering if I can leave this contraption in the car.

We are out every single day too but I've can't remember the last time I changed him in a public place while running errands.

ETA: Obviously if I was going to a party or something I would throw it in my bag, this is more for the daily errands.

Then yes, I'd definitely leave it in the car. Worst comes to worst, you'd have to go out to the car to get a diaper, and it's not going to be 10 miles away...and you could always change him in the car too.

I will change him right before we go out in the mornings.

Then we are usually home by 12:30 for his lunch and nap. He gets changed again. Wakes from his nap and gets changed before we head out in the afternoon.

I think I'm covered if I just keep it in the car.

LOL. I try not to make it that long, but last week we were at my parents in the city and all of a sudden I realized it was 4pm and he hadn't been changed since 9amChat Icon

But he was fine, not wet at all (so happy I went back to Cruisers!)

I've had the same 5 diapers in my "weekend bag" since he went into 5'sChat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

I have learned that if I leave the house without at least one diaper in the bag- Maddie will leak through. Never fails.

Thank God Eliza is an amazon baby - so I've been safe using one of hers in a pinch..

DS #1 is 22 mos and if I'm going out with just him, I carry a couple of diapers and small pack of wipes in a small bag.

Now that DS #2 is here, I carry a diaper bag and have stuff for both of them in there.
