Moms of 2...does your second child nap good with all the noise around them from DC #1?

My DS is 2 weeks old and so far doesnt wake up with the craziness from DD who is 27 months. I just worry that sometimes she is being too loud.

He naps in his swing and its in the livingroom. Does anyone have problems with DC 2 waking up from DC 1?

It seems that only sudden noises bother my DD for the most part, ex) DS drops something or comes in the room yelling my name etc....But she does nap much longer when he isnt home Chat Icon

I try to keep the tv on so that the house isnt totally quiet so that some of his noises blend in more Chat Icon

Eliza can generally sleep through all the craziness that is Madelyn and Luna (our dog). We have a white noise machine in her room as well- so that helps.

White noise machine is wonderful.
It really helps and you do not feel like you need to shush DC#1 all day.

Since day 1 we have never kept DD in another room for naps or play time. I want her to get used to all the noise. Both kids can now sleep when there is noise and really through anything. (knock wood)

I am hoping this is what will happen with DS. I also have 2 dogs and it suck because i have to keep the blinds closed or they will bark at anything.
