Moms of boys...diaper changing question
My DS is 6 months old and every time I take his diaper off, he immediately grabs at his groin area and squeezes HARD! I get so squeamish that he is going to hurt himself! Did your child do this?

The thing is - once that begins, I dont think they ever stop touching themselves down there!!!

I keep a toy on the changing table and give it to him every time I change him. It is a small rattle and I only use it for changing him, so when he gets it he is interested in the toy, not his thing!

Yes! He pulls it all the way foward then lets go. He used to splash in the bath, now he just touches himself. Don't worry, they won't hurt themselves. Just make sure you always have his nails trimmed so he won't scratch himself

The "painful bits" haven't dropped yet, so as long as his nails are trimmed, he'll be fine.

YES. I try to give him toys, but they just don't cut it. As soon as the diaper tabs open, he starts to play with himself

My son will grab it so hard it seems as if he is trying to pull it off. He smiles while he does it so it can't be hurting him, lol...
