moms of newborns - how are you spending this Memorial Day?
Every year DH and I used to go spend Memorial Day weekend (and pretty much every other weekend) at Fire Island.
Now, with DS who is 5 weeks tomorrow, I feel a little sad that we have no plans.
What can we do this weekend and other weekends this summer? I love the summer and would hate to not be able to somewhat enjoy it.
what can you do with a newborn?

We will not be doing anything. My son was born on the 9th and what the doctor thought was a lower respiratory infection in my daughter now might be coxsakie so we are staying home so we don't make anyone else sick.

DS was born on May 8th. We will spend Monday at my parents house, they have a big Memorial Day BBQ every year. Tomorrow and Sunday we will just hang out at home, spend some time alone as a family of 3.

we dont have any plans really. DD is almost 3 weeks old so we dont really want to go anywhere just yet. There is a parade on Monday that starts at the end of our block so we might meet our friends that live in the neighborhood with their baby to watch. Othe than that we are going to enjoy this 3 day weekend as a family ! It will be so nice to have DH home for a few days since he just went back to work this week!

My DS is 9 wks old. Saturday DS and I are going to a bridal shower for my cousin. The rest of the weekend we're just going to hang out at home. I want to get some gardening done and work on our yard before we have all the fam over for his Baptism.
I would love to go to the beach, but not ready to tackle the beach with a newborn yet. Also not ready to try on a bathing suit for me. 
Oh, and we might meet up with Mamasita27 and her DD for the parade.

Ryan is 9 + wks. DH is working all weekend so we don't have any family fun planned. If it's nice tomorrow, I'll take him to the beach (to my friend's cabana)

Athan is 10 weeks and we don't have any plans and I actually like that!!! We will run to Loews to buy some seat cushions for our patio set today and then chill out all weekend at home. I am sure we will go for a few stroller rides around the lake near our house. Other than that, we are planning to have a low key weekend just the three of us topped off with a delicious BBQ on Monday.

we are pretty much relaxing. I am getting a hair cut today and then we are going shopping and if the weather clears up down here, probably go to the park.

We are going to go to the parade and a couple of BBQ's, we are also going to host a BBQ on Sunday. DD is 8 weeks old and is loving the stroller so we should be just fine... I hope!

My DS is 5.5 weeks old. We will be going to my nephew's baptism on Sunday and helping them get ready later today.

My DH is a fireman, so we are going to watch him march in the parade on Monday, then we are going to my parents house for a BBQ.

congrats all you new moms! your new baby is going to enjoy some sunshine this weekend!
we don't have any big plans, just relaxing family stuff. we went for a very long walk in prospect park today and will visit the in-laws tomorrow. my mom is coming from connecticut on monday to help me plant my container garden on my deck.

Our baby is will be just over 2 weeks old this Memorial day weekend. We do not plan to go to any BBQ's.
We will spend a quiet weekend at home and maybe take DS out for a walk in the nice weather.

My DD is 10 weeks. We took her to Woodbury Commons Outlets today and it went great. I was kind of nervous since it would be a sort of long day. It is about an hour from where we live (Westchester) and DH and I were planning on doing alot of shopping, but it worked out really well. She slept there and back and off and on while we shopped. I was able to nurse her in the car when we arrived and just before we left, plus I used the dressing room at Brooks Brothers. When she was awake she just sat in the stroller and looked around! I am so proud of my little girl!!!!  I think she was born to shop!!! 
Tomorrow we have a BBQ at a friends and Monday we'll probably go to the park!
