Moms of newborns...
What do you do with your DC when he/she is awake and not feeding or in your arms?
My DS is usually in the swing or sitting on the boppy pillow ... I feel guilty when I'm not interacting with him though!

I lay on the playmat with her. If shes in the bouncer I sit on the floor and talk to her...not much you can do. I constantly talk to her and kiss her 9,999 times a day.

Re: Moms of newborns...
This is how I feel.
DD is usually in the swing. I try to rotate swing, bouncy seat, pack and play, newborn to toddler rocker. I also bought the Boppy Noggin nest as recommended by someone on here so she doesn't get a flat head while in these things.
Other than her laying in these things, I do interact with her here and there. She sleeps so much, plus I am human and have to eat, clean, do other things, etc.
I feel terrible though, b/c if she is awake I feel like I am neglecting her. And if she is sleeping, I feel she is bored b/c I am not paying enough attention to her. Some days I just feel like I am doing a crappy job, but I don't know what else to do. I am exhausted and stressed out and overwhelmed to be honest (mostly cause I am up for most of the night with her).
So I hear ya.
