Moms of Newborns 4-7 weeks old question

How much does your child weigh at birth and now are you breast feeding or formula feeding?

Riley was 6pd 9oz at birth
left hospital at 6pd 5oz
At her one month check is was 7pd 1oz

Not sure how much weight a baby is surposed to be gaining on an average?

Lucy will be 6 weeks old tomorrow...
She was 7lbs at birth...
She was 6lbs 8oz leaving the hospital...
At her one month check up, she was 9lbs 9oz.

I'm EBF'ing.

I don't know if I'm remembering this correctly, but I want to say my doctor told me they should be gaining about an ounce a day.

Jake was the same weight as your DC at birth and then leaving the hospital. At his 2 week check he was 7lbs, 3 oz. He was 20 in. at that point. Our doc said he is at the 25%ile for weight and length. He is also FF.

Emma is 6 weeks today...
She was 8 pounds, 1 ounce at birth
left hospital at i honestly don't know (we were there a LONG time - but had a doc appointment a few days later where she weighed - 8 pounds, 12 ounces.)

At her one month check is was 10 pounds, 2 ounces.

is that normal? i have no clue - but the doc is VERY happy - saying she's as close to perfect as she can be (his words).

i'm formula feeding - she's on Enfamil Isomil Advanced - Soy.

She takes, on average, 4 ounces at a feeding - and has since we left the hospital. Sometimes she takes 5 - but not often..

Re: Moms of Newborns 4-7 weeks old question

Rule of thumb is 1oz/day- so that's about 2lbs/ month
