Moms of picky/non eaters question

So Noah is the worlds pickiest eater...he might eat Cheerios, pasta, maybe cheese on toast, but nothing with specks...etc, you get the picture (ps, he eats everything they put in front of him at daycare...go figure)

Anyway, the kid LOVES to help me cook and prepare food...he loves peeling carrots, he loves stirring pasta, he is now watching his daddy cook sausages. This morning he has helped me make a Cottage Pie, which he SWEARS he will eat, however the verdict is still out on that one. Last week we made cupcakes together, and had a brilliant time!

Does your kid show interest in food or cooking? Or is my kid just destined to be the next Gordon Ramsay (my dreams of him being the next David Beckham have gone down the pan, so GR it is...)

My DD will eat cereal or noodles & meatballs for every meal if I let her. She has no interest in cooking or helping me prepare whatsoever. Once in a while she will look into the pots if I pick her up but that's about as far as it goes.

DD is pretty picky although when she likes something she'll eat alot of it. But anyway, she LOVES to help me cook. Anytime she seems me cooking, she'll pull up a chair and try to help. I always think it will make her want to try it, but nope! Never works!

Both of my kids love to cook and are both pretty picky. The loving to cook probably is because I own a cooking school....LOL. But they love it, crack eggs, measure ingredients, etc.

My dd is only 19m but she is extremely picky.. but everytime Im cooking she asks to stir, or wants to help in some way. As I prepare I try and take a bit and go yummmm and then go to hand her some and she goes NOOOO.

Not especially with cooking, and definitely very little interest in food. I think this is part of the reason he is picky actually, he just doesn't seem to care about food that much.

Ditto. Ds is a picky eater and refuses to eat anything new. He loves to help with everything including cooking but it doesn't make him want to try it....Oh how I wish it did.

Same here with DS. He even loves food shopping picking out the veggies and naming stuff...but sticks to like 3 things.
