I still have pain 2 years (this Wednesday  ) later.  I have no doubt that it's because the anesthesiologist, or assho!e, as I like to call him, couldn't do it in 4 attempts.  It took a 5th try, by another anest. to get it.
OMG  I couldn't even imagine!!
to answer the ?, I never felt anything except about 4 mo pp I had a shooting sciatica type pain down the leg. happened maybe twice and haven't felt anything since. but, never any pain at the site. sorry your hurting!

I had no pain or complications but I did have a big bruise (so my mom told me)
