Moms who BF, what is your feeding schedule (if you have one) for your 4 1/2 mth yr old?

I guess I am trying to get a schedule started. I have been basically nursing on demand.

I work 3 days a week and he seems to drink about 10 - 13 ounces (2 5 ounce bottles of BM, sometimes more if he wants it) when I am gone and the rest of the time I nurse.

When did you start or plan on starting cereal? I am thinking about adding cereal to one of his bottles.

Please share your experiences and suggestions.

DD is 4 months old. I'm home with her all day so I mostly nurse (DH gives one bottle most days). We don't have a set schedule. I'm in the process of stretching her to 3 hours. She was eating anywhere between 2-3, but the 2 hour feeds were feeling more like snacks. She also doesn't have a set nap schedule. We try to put her down 2 hours after waking.

So it really all depends on when she gets up (which varies) in the am. Today's schedule:

5:30 am--woke up, nursed and went back to sleep.
8:30 BF
10:30--nap
11:30BF
1:30-nap
2:30BF
4-nap
5:30BF
and we'll most likely have our last feeding at 8-8:30, then bed.

ETA: We're not on solids yet, but ped wants us to start with veggies when we do. Not sure how that will fit in yet.

DS will be 5 months next week and we are finally following a set schedule. I'm a SAHM, so I nurse all day unless we go out. In that case, I give him a 6-7oz bottle of pumped BM (which he never finishes).

6 - BF
8 - Oatmeal and Fruit
9 - BF
NAP
12 - BF
3 - BF
NAP
5 - Oatmeal and Veggie
7 - BF

We started veggies at exactly 4 months and I just introduced oatmeal and fruits within the past week and a half or so.

ETA: I introduced something new every 3 days.
