Moms who bring their kids to the gym daycare
Any tips for me?
Do you notice certain times when it's not as busy?
Does your DC genuinely like it there? I'm not worried about Tyler, but moreso leaving Jack.

Re: Moms who bring their kids to the gym daycare
D cried the first few times and they just held her. L never had a problem. My kids really like going. It is really clean, I have seen first hand them wiping EVERY SINGLE TOY down with anti bacterial twice a day, towards the end of the sessions. My gym has 2 sessions 8am to 1pm then 4pm to 9pm.
It will change your life!

I was hoping you would answer!
What machines did you do? Now that I take Zumba I hate machines but I'm going to have to suck it up. I think that this is just what I need to be honest. I small little break in the day to rejevenate me. There are only so many times I can take Tyler down off my kitchen table

1 - Leave them even if they cry. They will get over it, and eventually they won't cry when you leave.
2 - Wash their hands afterwards. I brought Colin to the gym Friday and I think he brought home the stomach virus. First he had it, then Ryan, now me. I'm afraid DH is next...

Re: Moms who bring their kids to the gym daycare
Actually, the babysitting is a 2 hour maximum and I never really did machines. This was my routine about a year ago because my kitchen fiasco. Monday: Kickboxing class, sometimes I took a 30 quick train class (it is a circuit training class with a trainer and it maximum 9 people. Some trainers don't use the machines and use kettle bells, medicine balls) Tuesday: Pilates class, this particular instructor did A LOT of ballet leg moves and each week she concentrated on one area a little more Wednesday: Zumba then pilates Thursday: Zumba then a total body weight train class Friday: 30 minute quick train class then a cardio sculpt class ( it alternated between zumba and then 3lb weight exercises and it alternated every 10-15minutes)
Now, on a good week I went everyday, but it was more like 3-4 days a week. Wed. was the only day I went in the afternoon. I did the weights but honestly I got so bored with it. The total body weight class I really loved because each week she changed it up a little and I was always sore the next day. She always had us push our selves. I really can't wait to get back to a real routine. Right now I only take zumba and the cardio scuplt class.

Re: Moms who bring their kids to the gym daycare
It took time. I had to do it in stages. Like in the beginning be prepared to be called in after 20 minutes. Then I finally told them to let him cry a bit before calling me. It probably took a month of transition but now he loves it. He asks to go.

Re: Moms who bring their kids to the gym daycare
All three of my kids were in childcare since they were infants so they are pretty used to being around other kids. I had some serious doubts about the child care at the gym I joined but the girls are amazing, they really interact and know the kids! I used to take classes only and since this gym doesn't offer classes I had to switch to machines. I actually love it more now b/c I don't have to worry about rushing with the kids to get to a class on time. I watch movies in the cardio theatre, and take actual REAL showers where I get to shave and condition my hair, all while the kids are playing and having a great time. I'm sure your little one will need some adjusting time but with big bro there he'll be fine eventually.
