Re: Monitored cycle - sono questions
The will measure your follicles to see how close you are to O. They will take blood to check all your #s.
On CD 11, i was usually ready to trigger (i always responded fast to meds) Most women O faster when on meds.
Depedning how you respond to meds you may not know yet how many will be mature.
Ask the tech how many mm they are and if they are more than 17-18 you are close !
Good Luck!!

They will measure your follicles to see if any are dominan and ready to be released. They will also measure your uterine lining. The bloodwork will show if you are having a LH surge and will ovulate on your own. If they think he follies are ready but you arent yet surging then you may trigger. GL!

Re: Monitored cycle - sono questions
Oh and sometimes when you take Clomid, you ovulate a little earlier than your normal cycles. If you do O on CD 14 then by CD 11 they should see which follicles are dominant, even if they aren't ready to be released yet.

Re: Monitored cycle - sono questions
Do you usually O on your own? What is your DX? They usually do timed BDing with a trigger shot so they can pinpoint the exact time of O. But thats up to you and your doctor, i would suggest it, as it will give you a better chance. Anything to up the chances and it's all about the timing !!
P.S. The trigger shot is TEENY TINY, don't even sweat it !

Re: Monitored cycle - sono questions
Yes - i have very regular cycles. We have male infertility issues which are resolved but since they prefer DH to not be on the meds a long time - speeding things up is preferred. So they recommend the clomid in hopes of upping our chances.
I dont mind the shot itself but im just annoyed at the fact that its more meds. I have great cycles and im afraid all these meds are gonna screw something up.
But thanks for all the info - i feel so much more prepared for friday - the dr didnt explain any of this to me
