More questions for the cloth diaper moms
Has anyone used a diaper rash cream that is supposedly safe on cloth? I know there is a few out there and just want to make sure they really are safe and wont ruin my diaps -- also ive been using disposable liners - are they too thin to use to protect the diap against the cream?
So DS is starting to fit in his BG Elemental AIO and i LOVE them but the only downside is theres no leg gussets -- anyone know if there is a similar AIO that has gussets?
DS had his first rotovirus vaccine and i was wondering since its a live virus if the washing machine is enough to kill the virus? I know your supposed to be extra carefull when handling diaper changes after the vaccine since you can catch the virus.
Besides Jillians - is there any other sites that offer trial programs?
For those that use cloth wipes - what solution/method do you use?
TIA

Re: More questions for the cloth diaper moms
we have used desitin and aquafor with no problems (but we use prefolds and covers.)
I can't answer you other q's sorry. I only have one BG AIO that I don't use often b/c it takes too long to dry, and I did not give my son the rv vaccine.

Re: More questions for the cloth diaper moms
For diaper cream I use Earth Mamma Baby Bottom Balm. It is cloth diaper safe and I have had no issues with repelling.
For liners I buy fleece blankets from the dollar section at Target and cut them up. I wash them with the diapers but it they are really nasty I just throw them out.
I use prefolds and Thirsties so I can't help with AIO's or trials.
For cloth wipes I use cut up fleece blanket and a spray bottle with water and grapefruit seed extract.
As for the wash I add 4 drops of tea tree oil to my wash every time. It is antibacterial and anti fungal so it kills all the nasties that can be hiding. You just have to make sure it is rinsed out well. If you have an HE only use 2 drops.

Re: More questions for the cloth diaper moms
I use weleda calendula cream, and there no problems with the diapers.
as for the rotovirus vaccine, I was not aware of that at all. DD2 had her first roto two weeks ago and no one got sick, so I'm guessing it was ok...
We use BM AIO and I love them. I'm not sure what you mean by leg gussets? Do you mean snaps on the actual leg area by the elastic?

Re: More questions for the cloth diaper moms
I use California Baby Calendula cream. I got it at BRU. It's expensive ($14 for 2 oz), but you can get it on Amazon for cheaper. I actually use it for DD even when she is in disposables b/c her skin is so sensitive.
