He is in a forward facing car seat, he should be rear facing till he is a year. His head is slumped over with no support and she is on the highway in a convertible!

She has her seat belt on, you can see it in the front of her belly...I think its the fact that the baby is folded in half...

Re: Mother of the Year is at it again!!!
Here is the news story:
Britney baby buggy blunder - again!
BY MICHELLE CARUSO NEWS WEST COAST BUREAU CHIEF LOS ANGELES - Oops ... the child-care-challenged Britney Spears has done it again. First Mommy Spears-est got nailed for driving with her baby son in her lap like a toy poodle. Now she could be busted for improperly installing a child safety seat in her car, state officials say.
The pregnant pop princess was spotted tooling around in her convertible Mini Cooper with 8-month-old Sean Preston slumped over in a forward-facing car seat. Federal regulations say kiddie seats should face backward until a child is a year old.
"It's far safer if the seat is facing backwards to avoid head-on injuries and whiplash in case of a collision," said California Highway Patrol spokesman Tom Marshall.
Spears, 24, "could be" cited for violating Section 27360 of the California Vehicle Code, which says child safety seats must be installed to comply with the federal standard.
"We would have to witness the violation. We can't issue a citation from a photograph," Marshall said.
"It's a bit of a gray area," he added, because state code doesn't specify the backward installation - a federal regulation does.
Spears' rep did not return calls for comment yesterday.
"We strongly urge anyone who is uncertain of how to install a car seat to come down to one of our headquarters and get help. We offer that service free of charge," said Marshall.
How about highchairs?
Spears, who recently confirmed she's expecting a second child, and hubby Kevin Federline rushed Sean to the hospital last month for a bumped noggin after he fell from a highchair that reportedly "snapped" and broke while a nanny was lifting him out. Child welfare officials investigated but cleared the couple of any wrongdoing.
In February, Spears got a visit and a warning from the cops after she was photographed driving illegally with her son in her lap. She admitted she "made a mistake" but blamed paparazzi for hounding her.

The baby should not be slumping like that. God forbid she gets into an accident, the belt should not have that much play.

Re: Mother of the Year is at it again!!!
This is not the first baby I've seen slumped over in a car seat. When babies fall asleep they go limp, I don't think Britney's to blame for that one.

Re: Mother of the Year is at it again!!!
This is from the DMV website. It is actually 20lbs and a year.
Infant seats are normally for infants that weigh approximately 22 pounds or less, are 25 inches or less in length, or are less than one year old. Face the infant seat toward the back of the vehicle. Never put an infant in the front seat of a vehicle that has a passenger-side air bag. Convertible child safety seats are normally for infants or toddlers that weigh approximately 40 pounds or less. For infants, face these seats toward the back of the vehicle. For toddlers more than one year old, you can change these seats to face the front of the vehicle. Follow the manufacturer's instructions to adjust the seat as the child increases in size. Booster seats are normally for children who have outgrown toddler seats. Booster seats are for children who are four to eight years old, who weigh 40 to 80 pounds, and who are less than four feet, nine inches in height. You can use a booster seat until an adult seat belt correctly fits the child without use of the booster seat. · Built-in child seats are available with some vehicle models. Built-in child seats fold away from the standard car seats. Do not use these seats for infants.

Re: Mother of the Year is at it again!!!
I don't know anything about car seats so I don't know which way it should face. My first thoughts were 'why are you in a convertible and why doesn't that poor baby doesn't have a hat on?'

What's with the Yes, he's sleeping, but the child should still be upright.

Re: Mother of the Year is at it again!!!
WELL I have a friend who has a jeep (no a/c) and in the summer drives the jeep with the top down. His son is in it.
AND when we were in Florida my Nephew was in our rented convertible. He liked it. He kept saying top down
