Need quick help- and the worst mother of the year award
Katie fell out of her bouncie seat on to the tile bathroom floor. She kind of landed on her side but has a red mark on her head so I know she hit it.
She cried right away, and for a minute while I held her. Then she stopped and is acting fine.
She is ok, right? I don't have to worry about a concussion or anything? I swear I turned for 2 seconds!!!!! I am hating myself about now.

I am sure she is OK...
However....does she try to get out of the bouncie seat a lot?
We stopped using it at around 4 or 5 months because she was just trying to get out of it too much and we were nervous....

Awwww poor Katie and Mommy.
I had to put the bouncy seat away, because Isabella started to sit straight up.

We never use it anymore- I only use it for about 5 seconds when we get out of the bath, I put the towel on it to wrap her up and dry myself off. She has never tried to get out before, but I am and azz- I said that was going to happen eventually.
Which is why I get the award

It wasn't up on anything right? It was ground level? If so I'm sure she's fine and was more startled than anything. I would keep an eye on her while she's awake but otherwise I"m sure she's fine. It wasn't a far fall.

She will be OK.
Emily fell out of my bed a few weeks ago when Bill was in the hospital. I was kicking myself for that for days....
she'll be alright....think of it as a right of passage......all babies/toddlers have to have a few bumps and bruises...it's....a rule or something.

awww sorry to hear that. Dont feel bad-its happened to me (more that once unfortunately ) i called my dr before bc my son banged his head so hard, it was scary. According to my ped their heads are a lot harder and can take more than we think! Dont beat yourself up over it, its happened to the best of us!

Thanks everyone. It was on ground level, I was just concerned because it was on the tile. She is very happy right now, so I think she is ok.

Re: Need quick help- and the worst mother of the year award
no need to worry. Alyson was knocked down from a standing position by the dog and clunked her head on the carpeted floor. I called the Dr's service and they said they need to fall 8 FEET to sustain a true trauma.
If you are ever worried about a concussion, let them sleep an hr (The dr. said babies falling asleep after being that scared is normal) wake them and try to feed them. If they vomit, there is a possible injury.
