moving truck

has anyone rented a truck from budget, uhaul or home depot to move?? if so can u please let me know prices , experiences , recommendations etc.

We've used budget numerous times. Never had any problem with them

they are always the cheapest. The only suggestion I would give you

would be to expect a higher price than what you are quoted for miles etc.

i've used uhaul a twice and hated it (the pick up locations have always been disorganized, a "reservation" is not really a reservation b/c you will get what they have available that day, the trucks are filthy and on the verge of breaking down). after i looked online, it seems that the negative experience with uhaul is pretty common. i think they have a cheap per day cost, but a high per mile cost. for this move we're going with penske. higher upfront cost, but unlimited miles, and we get it for 24 hours instead of 6. they only use their trucks for 3 years and then sell them, so the trucks are in really good condition. i also already had to deal with customer service to change my reservation, and call the pick up location to see what packing supplies they had, and they were both very professional.

i heard budget is much better than uhaul, but not as good as penske. i also had a friend recently use home depot and he recommended it.
