renting a moving truck...
where/what company did everyone rent their moving truck from???

I used Budget and there was a coupon in the change address envelope from the post office. I saved 20%  . The Budget I used was off Vets in Bohemia. They let us keep the truck as long as needed (even after they closed) and we just used a key drop to return it.

We used budget too. We picked it up in Bayshore and moved from Bohemia to Lindenhurst. it was significantly cheaper than Uhaul and they let us keep it after they closed and we dropped the key off.

We originally reserved a 24' truck from Ryder....(mind you we moved Memorial Day weekend). Then late afternoon the DAY before we were moving, they called us and screwed us...said they have no 24' trucks left. We needed a big truck and told them to find one at any other location that they had. They wouldn't help us at all....just said "sorry"
So last minute we got a truck from Penske and it worked out PERFECT. Truck was great, service was great, and price was awesome as well! I highly recommend them!

wanted to add that we had reserved Ryder 2 1/2 weeks before-hand and still didn't seem to matter.
