Multiple Miscarriages
I am terrified about getting pregnant and loosing another baby. If you had more than one miscarriage did you doctor give you a reason? How far along were you?

Re: Multiple Miscarriages
I had multiple mcs- all early, did all the testing and never got a reason....but don't drive yourself crazy with this- the fact is most people who mc will go on to be successful the next time. If God forbid it happens again, you will get through it again...but it is much more likely that you will be just fine next time!

Re: Multiple Miscarriages
I also had 2 miscarraiges. No reason. Your fears are totally normal. I fear the same. However, my desire to be a mother outweighs my fears.

Re: Multiple Miscarriages
I had 2 mc back to back. One at 12 weeks, one at 9 weeks.
The first one I had a really good heartbeat, and it just stopped. They don't know why. The second had trisomy 16.
I've had the whole mc panel, and nothing was found wrong with me.
Now I'm 9 weeks pregnant, and it's scary. But the dr is thrilled with my progress, and that's what I'm choosing to focus on. Living in fear of it hapening again wouldn't be good for me or my baby.

Re: Multiple Miscarriages
I lost 3 so far...first at 24 weeks , stillborn girl I delivered due to pre mature labor from a cervical infection.
Then a baby at 10 weeks, no D&C...no known cause
Then I had my son through IVF
Then another loss at 13 weeks... girl ue to Turners symdrome.
Am about 12 weeks PG now.
My Dr's say all my losses are different in nature....just bad luck

Re: Multiple Miscarriages
I have had 3 -
ectopic blighted ovum -nothing developed - 6 weeks no heartbeat at 11w5d - chromosome test indicated downs syndrome.
I had an RE tell me it was just bad luck..all not related. I have had recurrent m/c panels, genetic testing, etc. I also have MTHFR Factor V, which I was told did not contribute to any of my m/c's.
I saw Dr. Braverman on Friday who said absolutely the Factor V could have contributed to it, it's not being handled properly. He is also doing DNA Fragmentation on DH's sperm analysis and today we had blood drawn for Natural Killer Cells and something else.
Bottom line..if you have not been tested for MTHFR or Factor V(thrombophilia), have it done. It's a blood test, not a big deal.

Re: Multiple Miscarriages
my first loss at 16 weeks was from incompetent cervix.. my second loss was ruled out to be a chemical ..
so they were both unrelated.. i got all the testing done and everything was normal.
