Multiple missed miscarriages?
I am not new to this site but not ready to post as myself so I hope I can join you all under a secret name for now.
This past year I have had 2 missed miscarriages. One at 7 weeks and the other at 9. Doctor thinks its just bad luck but I will be going for blood work.
Has this happened to anyone or does anyone know anything about this? These were my first 2 pregnancies. Thankfully, I got pregnant both times right away and it doesnt seem I have a problem carrying (no bleeding or cramping) just seems like it was 2 bad eggs
Im really scared something is wrong with me Do you all think its me/dh or just bad luck?
Thank you to anyone who reads this

Re: Multiple missed miscarriages?
I'm so sorry for your loss.
There is a "recurrent miscarriage" bloodwork panel that tests for clotting and immune disorders. Not all OB's will do this test, particularly the immune disorders part of it. I don't personally go to him, but I've heard that Dr. Braverman will do the full work-up. He's located in Woodbury. I think there are also some doctors in NYC who might do the full work-up.
Good luck.

I am very sorry for your losses
If I were you, I would definitely seek out an RE. OBs don't have all of the specific information necessary to diagnose and treat IF issues.
There have definitely been other women on here who have been through similar issues, so hopefully they will be able to help you out.
Good luck!

Re: Multiple missed miscarriages?
I also had 2 missed miscarriages - One at 6.5 weeks and one 8 weeks (identical twins that time). I had the recurrent miscarriage panel done by my RE and nothing was wrong - seems like just VERY bad luck....
Please have hope - I am now almost 29 weeks pregnant with a healthy little girl! It WILL happen for you! Best of luck to you!

Re: Multiple missed miscarriages?
Sorry!!
Things will get better and you will go on to have a healthy pregnancy!! I think you should def look into a RE, they can do alot of testing that your regular OBGYN will not be able to do.
I would def make an appt with Dr B anyways!!
Goodluck!!

Re: Multiple missed miscarriages?
I did and we believe they were caused by tubal issues and/or immune issues. I do have healthy twin 13 month old boys through IVF and with treatment for clotting and high NK cells. Make an appt with Dr. Braverman

Re: Multiple missed miscarriages?
I also had 2 m/c this year and am now under the care of Dr. Kofinas, a perinatologist. He did a lot of blood tests, and it was found that I have MTHFR.
I also read a great book called "Is your body baby friendly" by Dr. Alan Beer. He talks about various immune issues/disorders and how to move forward and have successful pregnancies.
good luck!
