Re: Multiples GTG...
I'd think a weekend would be best so that the working moms can make it - and the DH's can come to help!
Were we planning on a park or something? I'd offer my house but we have no fence at the moment, so not great for lots of kids!

I'm definitely down for a multiple GTG. Any days work for me. If its on Friday or Sunday I can leave DS (3) home because those are DH's days off.
Very excited!!

Re: Multiples GTG...
We are in! I am only familiar with parks out here in Suffolk so I can't suggest a place.

Re: Multiples GTG...
How about we do June 18th? That gives everyone about a month to clear their schedules (if necessary).
I don't know of a whole lot of playgrounds/parks that would be considered central for all of us.
I can try to google and see what I come up with unless someone else has one in mind.

Re: Multiples GTG...
I actually think I CAN do the 18th!!!
I did some research as far as parks in Nassau County and here are two that are highly rated:
Eisenhower Park (East Meadow): They have three payground areas, one of which was newly renovated and includes a sprinkler area if anyone was interested.
Cedar Creek Park (Seaford): This was apparently voted as one of the best playgrounds on Long Island. Its Play area is clean and fenced in...in case there are any wanderes.
Hope that helps a bit.

Hmmm..maybe somewhere a little more east would be more central for everyone. Maybe western Suffolk?

That's fine with me. I live in Farmingdale so I am right on the border of Nassau and Suffolk. I don't know many parks in suffolk but I will do some research unless someone else knows of somewhere.
The only park I am familiar with is Elsworth Allen Park here in Farmingdale. It's nice and the play areas have recently been rennovated so that's always an option.

Re: Multiples GTG...
Eisenhower is nice. But it is huge. And the playground doesn't have a fence which makes it a little tricky for us to keep tabs on our kids.
How big of a playground do we want?
There is a newly renovated playground at Venetian Shores in Lindenhurst. south shore, western suffolk. It is fenced in and there is a beach hut where we could buy lunch/snacks.
Only catch is you may have to pay to park if you are not a Town Of Babylon resident.
eta - they also have a spray park as well.

Re: Multiples GTG...
Hoyt Farm in SMithtown is great also. Not sure if thats too far for everyone though. As a smithtown resident< i could get a permit for a pavillion (its $35). They have the pavillion area with tables, bathrooms, 2 playground areas, a spray park area, and then if anyone feels like walking there are the animals and trails. Only thing is would have to pay for the permit and for non-smithtown residents to park ($7 per car).
ETA: Its Commack not Smithtown, Duh!

This sounds good to me! I'd have no problems chipping in for the permit.

Re: Multiples GTG...
I actually can't do the 18th. I forgot that my older son has his last t-ball game of the season that day and after that we have to head out to the hamptons for Father's Day (the next day). Oh well.

I think that day works for me as long as the girls are okay to go out! They will be a little over a month. Is it too soon? I can bring my 18 month old too. She would love it!

I think they should be fine! They'll be outdoors in (hopefully) warm weather.
