Museum of Natural history - visitng question

we were planning to take our nephew there tomorrow. Only thing is he isn't available until the afternoon - it closes at 5:45pm, do you think 3 hours is enough there if we get there by 2:30ish? He's 15.

How old is your nephew?

If he is young, 3 hours is enough. If he is older (like 8+) he may want more time to go around, but many people can only take so much of a museum.

Also, are you planning on seeing any specific exhibits or is it just to walk around. 3 hours is definitely enough time to walk around a lot of the museum.

That's about how long I was there with my DH in Feb, and that was about all the museum I could handle.

DH picked the sections he wanted to see & we went in order of his preference & we saw a lot.

Get a map when you get there & ask him what he wants to see the most. You can see a lot if you plan well.

Thanks - that helps. Its a good idea to get a map and pick what we want to be sure to see. He is 15, but I figure there is so much time all of us can take before we're exhausted. I'm looking forward to it. I would've liked to have done the planetarium but I know thats not enough time for both - oh well, another trip, or maybe just that - we'll see.
