We went to the Museum of Natural History today! With pics...
DH's friend gave us tickets for the Museum of Natural History, and we could see all the events!
since we knew that there is no way we would ever be able to afford anything like that (and we won't be able to afford going here until Cailen is much older!!!) we decided to hit up ALL the events - we got there at 12:30 and left at 5. Cailen stayed awake for everything! He stayed in the sling since I didn't want to bring in the stroller, and fell asleep in my arms as we walked back to the car!!
During the Dinosaurs Alive movie,he did get a bit antsy, but otherwise, he was awesome for everthing - he loved the "animals" and laughed hysterically at the bear. He also was really into the dinosaurs, and we also went to the Butterfly room... Here are some pics! 
A little sleepy here - see the whale? 
He wanted to touch everything - thank goodness for the glass!!!

Fun! We love it there!! And FYI..admission is a "suggested" admission price, so you could hand them a dollar and you would get in. I believe the extras you still have to pay for though. I've went a couple of times without paying the full admission price.

Yeah - its all the extras that are 
i didn't realize the suggested price is also at Museum of Natural History - I thought it was only at the Metropolitan Museum of Art - thats good to know!!!

Where'd you end up getting your sling from? Cailen looks very compfy in it.

Where'd you end up getting your sling from? Cailen looks very compfy in it.
I actually bought this sling when he was 3 mts old - the problem is, I bought it too large and doesn't stay close enough to my body - which made things tough when he was very little, but now that he can sit and I just put his butt in it, he clings to me and it seems to be working, although I still wish it was closer to me - I have to find a pic from when I used it when he was a little guy... its so funny!!!
ETA - heres the pic - but ignore my big fat post partum body

If you try the HALF SHOULDER FLIP (use this technique to pull your baby in closer), it might help a little bit:
1. Fold back the top layer of fabric at your shoulder. This technique can be used with any of the sling carrying positions.
