I am going to macy's after work.
I JUST realized I have gift cards from Christmas....where are they you ask? AT HOME I would have to answer 
I live about 20 minutes away from work, work about 10 minutes away from Macy's...and it'd be about 50 minutes in total to go home, get the Gc's and go back to Macys'
tomorrow is not really an option

It depends on the amount on the cards. If its a 100 or more I'd go back home first and get them.

1) I hate that Macys. selection is the suck.
and
2) it closed at 8. Herald Square closes at 9:30. I like the extra time.
and you are always better late than never.

In my typical style of buying and returning, I would...
go to Macys to get the shopping bug out, and return the stuff on your own time and rebuy with the gift cards.
