My 9 Months Old Not Eating - I'm Very Worried
For some reason Ella barely eats anything for the past couple of days. She used to be such a good eater and now she takes maybe a few bites if that much and barely wants her bottle.
I am thinking maybe it's because the time is so hot that's why she is acting like this. It's very frustrating feeding her when she like this. Now I am sort of worried because she is not eating like before. Ugh!
Anyone else DC does this as well? Any suggestions? TIA
ETA: She's very playful and happy but I would like for her to eat a bit more. She drinks her water very well.

Re: My 9 Months Old Not Eating - I'm Very Worried
DD went through this last week. She's 7 months today. It was hard. But as long as she's hydrated. Everybody kept telling me, she'll eat when she's hungry.

Thanks! Everyone tells me the same thing but the mommy in me just can't help being worried.

YEP!!!
Just dont let them see you sweat!!!! They learn very quickly that they can control what they put in their mouths!!! Just keep offering meals. And pretend to be happy about the little bit that they ate....
Caden basically did this and I found that if I let him feed himself he actually ate more...

Re: My 9 Months Old Not Eating - I'm Very Worried
As a mom of a non-eater,l I think she will be ok. I definitly think it is the heat ( I know I haven't really been eating that much) or it could be that she cutting some teeth that may be more painful than others (ds did this too). As long as she is acting herself I think she will be ok. You can't force her to eat and she will eat when she is hungry even at that age. If she starts acting differently then I would call the ped and run it by him.
My motto with my son as always been as long as he is gaining weight and is toddler self he is fine.
I am sure it is just a phase with her

Re: My 9 Months Old Not Eating - I'm Very Worried
Thanks ladies!!! She is still her normal self but I do think she's teething as well.
Because it's so hot I myself have not been eating so I was thinking it's the heat why she's not heating.
Now I feel better hearing what you all have mentioned.

Between the heat and teething she just may not want to eat. Whenever Victoria is just feeling a bit "off" - teething, having a cold or this heat, her eating habits are affected.

Re: My 9 Months Old Not Eating - I'm Very Worried
my dd had been like this for a few weeks...she is a VERY pick eater all of a sudden. I think they go through stages and nothing to really worry too much about. They will eat when they are hungry

Re: My 9 Months Old Not Eating - I'm Very Worried
DD has done this. I make sure to NOT make it an issue. I refuse to get into a power play with her. I give her 30 minutes. If she's just throwing the food, we move on to another activity and she won't get fed til the next sitting.

Re: My 9 Months Old Not Eating - I'm Very Worried
Is she teething? DS used to be like this when teething. he would have a few days where he didnt want to eat as much and then he would go right back to eating good again.

Re: My 9 Months Old Not Eating - I'm Very Worried
I went through this with DS at 9mths old. He refused to eat baby food and table food. He also got his first tooth at 9mths old. I think they all go through stages. It could be the heat and it could be teething.
