My DD fell and split her lip
Last night--there was so much blood, we weren't sure if we should take her to the ER or not. It was so scary! The bleeding stopped after about 5-10 minutes, but today she has a fat lip. She's the same old Chloe though--scamping around.
Has this happened to anyone else? Is there anything I can do to speed the healing?

Ugh, lip and face injuries bleed sooo much. DD fell and her tooth went through her lip.. it bled a ton, but it did heal pretty quick. She has a bump on her lip now  but that should go away with time.
Glad she is ok!

Ice pops or an ice cube wrapped in a washcloth, that's really about it once the bleeding stops. And keep it clean, though the lip area is hard to really keep clean.
DS did this a few weeks ago, and his lip looked AWFUL the day after he fell, and the day after that. But I think by the end of the week, it was completely healed, you could never tell he split it. So it probably will heal quickly.

My dd had tripped and fallen when she was about 2 1/2. She bit through right underneath her bottom lip. We rushed her to the er and she needed 6 stiches. It did break her of the binkie habbit. But was very traumatic

Just happened to Ronan the other day. His lip was cut on the inside. He had a fat lip for 2 days and I've been giving him tylenol

Shaylie did this 2 weeks ago. She's been drooling like crazy and it the amount of blood so much worse. I tried to get a cool rag on it, but she wanted nothing to do with it. After she calmed down, she was back to her same old self.
