My dog decided he now wants to crap in the house.....

We have three dogs and we have always been able to leave them for the 8.5 hours we are working/commuting.

We let them all out every morning before we leave for work.

For the past 2 days, Jackson my 8 yo lab is crapping upstairs! It appears to be a normal BM.

I can't figure it out!

I haven't changed his food or his treats.

The only change in his daily routine is he doesn't make it to the park every night anymore bc the rainy season started here plus its dark sometimes by the time we get there.

And he seems to be restless at night. He used to sleep thru the night but he gets up like 3 times jumps off the bed then back on.

Do you think it's spite work?
Is it bc he's getting older?

I should also mention that he has a non cancerous tumor on his leg that the Dr. said we can leave or have removed. We decided to remove it, just waiting for the appt.

I would bring him to the vet to get checked out. If this is a change in his normal behavior it could indicate something is wrong- I do not think it is spite...actually there is a lot of research showing that dogs do not think this way- They are more action-reaction type of animals...see a squirrel...chase said squirrel...

I actually think it's because he's not getting that walk he used to get. It used to tire him out more and probably changed his pooping routine. See if you can do it one day the weather isn't too bad and if you see a difference. I would try that before going to the vet. Dogs are such creatures of habit.
