Subject: Maggie Update
Body: TO EVERYONE WHO HAS EXPRESSED THIER CONCERN FOR MAGGIE OVER THE LAST TEN DAYS I WANT TO SAY THANK YOU. THE REASON WE WERE SO WORRIED BECAUSE IT IS SO UNLIKE MAGGIE TO NOT CALL. HOWEVER I HAVE JUST RECIEVED A PHONE CALL FROM HER STATING THAT SHE IS FINE AND WORKING ON GETTING HERSELF BACK TO CALIFORNIA. SHE DID NOT TELL ME WHERE SHE WAS OR GIVE ME A NUMBER BUT SHE DID PROMISE THAT SHE WAS OK.

Subject: UPDATE
Body: HOW GOES THE SAYING BELIEVE HALF OF WHAT YOU SEE AND NONE OF WHAT YOU HEAR????

Ok so by now most of you have probably heard the sound byte from Escondido PD stating that there were NO PERSONAL POSSESIONS found in Maggie's apartment except for the uniforms. Well I am PLEASED to dispell this rumor. I have in my possession pictures that prove Escondido LIED. Now NCIS is taking over the investigation and if you go to the website they have it says that they DO NOT chase down members of the military that are u/a UNLESS THEY SUSPECT FOUL PLAY or their are UNUSUAL CIRCUMSTANCES. Just want to give you all an update keep your fingers crossed that we hear something ANYTHING soon. At least we know we have REAL professionals on the job now and for the moment it gives us some hope.

SAN DIEGO -- A desperate search is under way for two Marines who failed to report to work at their respective military bases on Monday.

The family of Pfc. Margaret McMahon Reid, 20, said she and her husband, Pfc. George "Kevyn" Reid, 22, disappeared Monday from their respective jobs at Camp Pendleton and Marine Corps Air Station Miramar.

Margaret's family told NBC 7/39 they have filed a missing persons report on her. Both have been placed on "unauthorized absence" status by the military.

The family said there has been no sign of the couple at their apartment in Escondido. Heather McMahon, Margaret's sister, told NBC 7/39 when the military police searched the home, they found all of the missing woman's belongings, including her purse and her driver's license.

The Escondido Police Department told NBC 7/39's sister station in North Carolina they are investigating the case which is classified as a voluntary missing persons case.

According to Heather McMahon, the couple got married less than a month ago, after meeting during a class at Twentynine Palms.

She also said her brother-in-law was extremely jealous. She said the two most recently fought after Kevyn accused his new wife of spending more time with her all-male colleagues at Camp Pendleton than spending time with him.

Heather McMahon also said the couple's cell phones are disconnected, but that her sister's ATM card had been used in Missouri.

In addition, relatives said Kevyn has been logging onto his MySpace page. Both his family and the Margaret's family have been posting messages asking him for information.

Kevyn's family lives in North Carolina and his sister-in-law said they suspect he may be heading there.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Escondido Police Department.

WE ARE UNSURE WHAT HER PHYSCIAL CONDITION IS AND ARE STILL CONCERNED FOR HER SAFTY DUE TO THE INFORMATION WE HAVE RECIEVED FROM HER FRIENDS CO-WORKERS AND OTHER TENNENTS IN THE APARTMENT BUILDING.
