There HAS to be a way someone can track where he is by him logging into myspace...
I agree .... there most likely is a way.
I wonder if its worth trying to contact myspace to put them in touch with the police (I doubt they'd be willing to give out that sort of info to a civilian)

Agreed. The police can contact myspace and get the IP Address to make sure that it really is Kevyn...
it may be someone that's logging into his account....ex girlfriend, friend, family, etc.
Something is very very very strange about this whole situation....
- between the girl posting 'babe' and that she loves him, the day before his new girlfriend/wife posted something similiar
- that the know he "has" her
- what has he "done"
and it just goes on and on...
Praying she comes back safely no matter what. To her family and friends -
ETS: if it is him that's logging into his myspace page, and he did indeed do "something" to her...why would he not just delete those comments?
ETS#2: Just tryng to understand...He's USMC, and supposedly AWOL, taking his wife with him? Isn't this a military police matter? The USMC Police will find him and there's a 98% convinction (30 years minimum) rate. I seriously doubt he would be checking his myspace page b/c that will be tracked.

Myspace does amber alerts, I am sure if the police contact Myspace regarding her missing and activity on his account that could possible be a hacker of some sort they should be able to do what they can.
I hope she is safe and returns to home safely

this is so bizarre.
are the police involved?
this seems almost juvenile...this whole "myspace" thing if the authorities aren't involved.
the military police? local law enforcement..FBI if they've crossed state lines.
I hope if this really is a dangerous situation for her, that people are going through the right channels. Myspace is not it. 
I am praying for her safe return.

I would think the base officials would've been the ones to contact the family in the first place. That's the first place she'd be missed if she didn't show up to formation on Monday and hadn't requested leave. Though they'd probably notify her next of kin first, which would be her husband.
But if the family hasn't heard from anyone at Pendleton and doesn't know for sure that she's gone, you're right. A good place to start would be by contacting her XO.

I thought the same thing about the deleting the comments also. I just hope they hear from her soon. I don't understand alot of the logic either. I am thinking maybe they went to Myspace to add to their searching efforts...I really don't know either.

It finally hit the news here.
SAN DIEGO -- A desperate search is under way for two Marines who failed to report to work at their respective military bases on Monday.
The family of Pfc. Margaret McMahon Reid, 20, said she and her husband, Pfc. George "Kevyn" Reid, 22, disappeared Monday from their respective jobs at Camp Pendleton and Marine Corps Air Station Miramar.
Margaret's family told NBC 7/39 they have filed a missing persons report on her. Both have been placed on "unauthorized absence" status by the military.
The family said there has been no sign of the couple at their apartment in Escondido. Heather McMahon, Margaret's sister, told NBC 7/39 when the military police searched the home, they found all of the missing woman's belongings, including her purse and her driver's license.
The Escondido Police Department told NBC 7/39's sister station in North Carolina they are investigating the case which is classified as a voluntary missing persons case.
According to Heather McMahon, the couple got married less than a month ago, after meeting during a class at Twentynine Palms.
She also said her brother-in-law was extremely jealous. She said the two most recently fought after Kevyn accused his new wife of spending more time with her all-male colleagues at Camp Pendleton than spending time with him.
Heather McMahon also said the couple's cell phones are disconnected, but that her sister's ATM card had been used in Missouri.
In addition, relatives said Kevyn has been logging onto his MySpace page. Both his family and the Margaret's family have been posting messages asking him for information.
Kevyn's family lives in North Carolina and his sister-in-law said they suspect he may be heading there.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Escondido Police Department.

The whole myspace thing is so confusing. They should definitley be able to track the computers he has logged in from...However, it may be someone else logging in under his name.

Her ATM card was used in Hazelwood, Missouri.
The car they are in is a white chevy cavalier---registerd in California.
