My Gym Pet peeves
1. People leave stuff in the lockers without a lock and I have to open 3-4 lockers to find an empty one.
2. People who save their spot on the floor before class by putting their water bottle down
3. People who get dressed in front of the mirror and blck it from the rest of us who just want to check on our way out.
Vent over. carry on.

If you sweat all over a machine, please be kind enough to wipe it down so that when i go to use it, I dont first have to do that. thanks!

STOP USING SO MUCH PERFUME/COLOGNE! I can't run while inhaling that muck!!

my gym is a community one... and even though we get constant daily reminders in e-mail and flyers on that wall that no one under 18 can be in the gym unsupervised...
kids under 18 come in and are loud, misuse the equipment, stare, etc. and it is sooo annoying.
and what is worse is when I go to complain,
the staff is upstairs is feeding them cookies!!! BLAH!!

I have a pet peeve to add:
If you're waiting for a machine, please don't stand right next to it and stare at the person who is using it, especially if they just started using it. Maybe it works to intimidate some people off the machine, but not me. You're just wasting your time, and could be using a different machine while you're waiting instead of just standing there.

There is a sign in sheet for ellipticals for a reason. Don't make me wait and have to ask you to get off because you are cutting into MY time slot!

Ahhh, yes. I agree with all of the above and will also add that I can't stand listening to those bench pressing guys who are grunting/moaning so loud that I can hear them over my Ipod (which I have on a pretty high volume to begin with).

i really only have one pet peeve. i cant stand when people stand in front of me when im in front of a mirror. im there to make sure my form is ok, you can clearly see that...isnt that why YOU are in front of it now?

I have a fitness related pet peeve (although its kinda silly): when people think that they are running a "marathon" no matter what the distance of the race is!
My ex decided to message me on facebook to brag he was running a "marathon". When I asked him which one he said the Empire State Building Run Up (which is basically running up stairs for half a mile or quarter mile..not sure which but its a pretty short distance). Big difference between half a mile and 26.2 miles

Don't use the ab machine for butt lifts!!!!!!!! You can do those on the floor and you are wasting my time as I'm waiting for the ab machine to work my ABS!

i seriously get peeved when men stop and just watch a group class. i teach a yoga class and i face the back of the room which is just a solid wall of windows, which has the weight room outside. the students, facing me, don't see, but when i teach there are guys that CONSTANTLY leer into the windows and watch the class. i feel like stepping out of the room one day and telling them i'm gonna start charging for the show.
my class is there to workout, not be ogled by you!!!
**and i just wanna add that this isn't meant to be a blanket statement towards men. it just happens to be all men who watch this one class and it makes me go bananas

I dont get it. I have actually gotten up and moved down a machine because I hate that so much.
Although this is a pet peeve of mine as well...sometimes I have gone on machine next to someone because it was near a TV that had on a show I wanted to watch. Although I did feel bad about getting on a machine right next to them...but I'd rather watch Regis and kelly than ESPN!

When you're in the middle of working out and people try to have lengthy convos with you!!
There's this women that my mom knows that will always try to talk to me while I'm in the middle of a hard cardio session. I try to pretend I don't hear her (I have my headphones on) but she literally gets in my face adn starts waving her hands around until I acknowledge her!
