Re: My issues with the DVR world we live in... - After discussion, now includes AI Spoiler!
It's like when a new movie comes out. Some people will go see it the first night. Others will wait. People who wait to see it don't want to hear about it from the people who saw it the first night.
I DVR a lot of stuff and let my friends know I didn't watch something so they don't spoil it. But if it gets ruined for me, it's not the end of the world.

I am still a VCR girl.. There are times where I can't watch my shows until days later.. but it never bothers me when people talk about spoilers, I like to know what's going on as much as the next person.. I hate surprises!!

I totally agree. Maybe it's because I don't have DVR or TIVO. Like another poster said - if I know the outcome to a TV SHOW that I missed - it sure ain't gonna ruin my life.

I DVR all the time, but I'm also a sucker for spoilers so this wouldn't bother me.
I can't stand when people get all bent out of shape. I mean it's one thing if you ask someone not to tell you the outcome of a show you DVR'd but if it comes up and you didn't give fair warning either suck it up or walk away from the conversation.
Life is tooooo short to get your panties in a twist over the results of AI being ruined.

I'm a non DVR'er too. Part of the fun of watching shows like AI is talking about it with your coworkers the next day! I know I was doing it today. If the DVR'ers are in the minority, they can walk away from the conversation. I wouldn't intentionally ruin it for anyone, but I also wouldn't memorize who may or may not have seen it.
I work with a girl who spoils movies all the time because she has a big mouth and loves to hear herself talk. Her first words are "Omg did you see Slumdog Millionare? I couldn't believe that at the end they -----" and then blurts out the ending! Ever since I saw Titanic, I detest listening to hype and seeing trailers and listening to people discuss movies. I don't b*tch at her. I turn up my music, walk away, or cover my ears.
