My list of questions for Daycare Centers.. am I missing anything?

* Is the facility licensed? Are the caregivers licensed? May I see the certificates?
* What are the state requirements for licensing of this facility - and also for hiring?
* What are the credentials (experience and training) of the staff? Do these credentials apply to a) the director b) the room leader c) the co-teachers d) all staff? Do staff members receive ongoing training? What kind of training is it?
* Have all staff and caregivers submitted to background and criminal checks?
* Does the facility have high staff turnover? What is the turnover?
* Does everyone on the staff know first aid and CPR (infant CPR)?
* Is the facility required to submit to regular health, fire and safety checks?

*Pricing: day care timing, what's included, will it be prorated if days are missed etc (if child is sick or if we are on vacation)
* Infant program schedule/activities. * Do they follow each infants' schedule or try to get them on one nap/feeding schedule?
*Does each infant have their own crib? Do the infants share cribs?
*Do they enforce vaccination requirements for ALL children in their care?
* Webcam accessible?
* Ratio of staff to infants?
* Do they fill out a progress report daily telling you nap times/ feedings/ dirty diapers?
* Do they administer medication if needed and do they call a parent before administering for permission?
* Do they contact you if your child has a fever/has diarrhea/is sick?
* How often do they change diapers?
* What are their sick policies - what would require an early pick up?
*If a teacher is sick, are they allowed to come to work that day?

* Do they work on motor skills? Stacking, grabbing, sitting, standing, crawling, etc?
* What do they clean the toys and floors with and how often? (ie. chemicals or green, non toxic products)
*What is their discipline policy?
* What safety precautions do they take when and if they go for walks?
*What is the schools cleaning procedure? DO they have a cleaning crew?

Re: My list of questions for Daycare Centers.. am I missing anything?

These are some things that I forgot to ask that they ended up telling me when I went for my "tour".

-What is your procedure in emergency situations?

-Can I leave the carseat at the daycare every day?

-If an illness is going around at the daycare is it posted? ie.: pink eye, etc
