My neighbor was killed last night!
My neighbor, who was about 83-85 was hit by a van on Boundry Ave. in Farmingdale last night. He was always walking, I guess for the excersise. The spot where he tried to cross is horrible! I don't even take my car out that way. It's right in front of the Stuart Thomas Mannor. The weird thing is, is that I was on my way home from work, and I saw the scene. Traffic was a nightmare, and I couldn't get out of my neighborhood. It's so sad, to live that long, and to die like that. I pray that he didn't suffer

That poor man and his family. I can sympathize my mom died while crossing the street at dusk.

I'm so sorry to hear that Theresa!
Apparently he got a little confused while crossing, and realized he started to cross at the wrong time, and turned around to cross, but it was too late. I can't stop thinking about him, and the poor man who hit him. It could happen to any of us! The drivers life is changed forever now. My heart and prayers go out to him and his family because it is truly a tragic accident.
