My new BABY GIRL- PICS INSIDE *****UPDATED WITH BIRTH DETAILS/STORY)*****
Just coming on quick to say hello and post pics of our new baby girl!!

Let me start by saying I wanted a NATURAL birth, as natural as can be.... no epidural and I told my Dr. and DH that I was serious and not to try and convince me otherwise.... read below lol!
My due date was August 29th, Julianna came on August 13th, 2 weeks early. My Dr. was saying from 34 weeks that she thought I would go early. Here were some of the reasons why...
1. Head was WAY down @ 34 weeks
2. By 36 weeks I was fingertip dialated and soft
3. My overall condition was really bad by 37 weeks i.e. my ankles and feet were swollen to the point where I could not physically walk anymore.
4. My belly had definately dropped by 36 weeks.
On Friday August 13th at 3:30 AM my water broke in bed. I woke up from feeling wet, NOT pain or anything else. I thought I had peed myself or was sweating down there. So for me, the water breaking was not a painful experience. There was a significant amount of fluid, my pants were soaked, bed was soaked, no blood. I started loosing my mucus plug at this time.. never lost any of it before this day ( at least I dont think so)!
I called the Dr. right away and she told me to head over to L&D right away but I told her I was in no pain yet, she said I probably have some time... I wanted to shower and she said that was fine, so I did. I started to shower and the contractions started...not painful yet, just uncomfy. I blow dried my hair, did my make up (LOL) and packed my hospital bag (what? she came 2 weeks early LOL, I thought I had time!!!) Pack your bags early ladies. By the time I finished all that it was 5:10AM. I was having contractions that were a little stronger now but still managable. They were 4-5 mins apart and lasted for about 30 seconds. We headed to the hospital (20 minutes away).
When we got to the hospital it was 5:30 exactly and the pain was getting worse. They checked me and I was 2cm dialated. They let me lay in triage, eat breakfast and just breath through the pain. By 7:00AM they suggested I walk around the hospital with my DH, so we decided to walk around the block (outside) to get fresh air. I guess the walking really got the contractions going because I was walking outside, had to stop in my tracks, rock back and forth on my DH and it was getting really bad... I wanted to RUN not walk back to the entrance lol. The contractions were now 2-3 minutes apart and lasted a minute. By the time I got back into the hospital and on the L&D floor it was 9:00 and they checked again... I was 4CM and they admitted me.
I went into the Labor room and got strapped up to all the machines and by this point I was in tears hysterically crying from the pain. I could barely compose myself, wriggling in bed and screaming.... it was the worst sharp pain I had ever felt in my life. I couldnt even recover from one contraction when a minute later another would come. My DH never mentioned the epi but my Dr. said she is ready to call the epi Dr. once I say so... I held on as long as I could... I really did, but I couldnt take it anymore. I got the epi @ 9:30AM. RELIEF!!!!!!!! omg you have no idea how much better I felt, I could breath!!! They inserted the cathedar (not bad at all) and I just "rested", the Dr.'s said it might be a while cause epi's slow down labor.... SO everyone went one break LOL, the nurses went to go drink something, my Dr. went to check on others, it was just Dh and I in the room. By 11:00 (90 minutes after the epi) I was starting to feel pain again... not like the contractions (sharp pain)beforehand but more like pressure. So I called for the Dr. and she kinda dismissed it but said she'll check me, SHE WAS SHOCKED TO SEE I WAS 10CM and READY TO PUSH!!! SHe said considering this was my 1st baby and I had the epi, she was shocked I had progressed that fast, HECK I was shocked LOL.... nurses had to come running back and I was pushing. My Dr. turned off the epi right away. She told me to push when I felt the contractions (pressure)... I could feel every contraction, I told her when they were coming before the machine did. This helped a lot since I knew when to push. I pushed as hard as I could for 25 minutes and my baby girl was born at 11:33AM.
Honestly, I was so against the epi but I think I had a wonderful experience... even my Dr. said it was a beautiful labor. For everyone who is weary about the epi, dont be too against it... if you need it, you need it. I think the trick was shutting it off as soon as you know your ready to push.
So, the whole thing was from 3:30AM to 11:33AM. I would do it again tomorrow (not literally but you know what I mean lol) my labor was amazing, Im so happy that I didnt have to suffer too much lol, I guess my little girl was REALLY ready to get out.
