Mylicon drops for gas?
Has anyone ever given dc Mylicon drops for gassiness? Gianna is SO gassy and it has been preventing her from falling asleep at night. It's exhausting for me and so uncomfortable for her.
Do you think it's worth giving the Mylicon drops a try? The website states that it can be used with other meds without any interaction...
Thanks!!! T
One more thing: I'm not sure if this makes a difference, but G has a milk-protein allergy and takes meds for acid reflux.

Re: Mylicon drops for gas?
DS is on prescription Zantac fo reflux and we used Mylicon for awhile. It worked ok for awhile, but for us, Gripe Water has been the real lifesaver.

We gave them to Lily in each bottle until she was about 6 months old. She had gas issues also and they were a lifesaver!

Re: Mylicon drops for gas?
My dd had a milk protein allergy too as well as really bad acid reflux and I used to give her mylicon or gerber gas drops after every bottle. I also used to give her gripe water before her evening bottle mixed with a half an ounce of water. I swear it helped calm her before bed.

I put them in every bottle from the the time DS was two weeks old. I just stopped using them and I see a differnece from not using them. I think we are going to start again.

Just be consistent and do it every bottle. It's fine.

it really didn't seem to make too much of a difference for Natalie. I think it's because you have to be very consistent with them in order for it to really work, which we were not.

They worked really well for my DD. We used them until she was on solids.

Re: Mylicon drops for gas?
I used the Gas X, Mylicon, and the Little Tummies version....
For Kristina - the Baby Gas X and the LT version worked better for her for some reason over the Mylicon - I don't know why.... it's the same key ingredient....
I used those in conjunction with the gripe water. Kristina had gas issues at 2 weeks of age..... I occasionally use the gas drops now, but I DEF still use the gripe water...... It's ALWAYS on hand.
