Nail Plates? Update: I found the tutorial, it's pretty cool!
Anyone ever heard of them or used them?
This was inspired, naturally, from a pinterest pin.
They had this and they said they used "nail plates" but I had never heard of them before. I'm assuming they are just stencils, but is it just for airbrushing? I imagine regular polish would be messy. I actually have an airbrush machine at home... now that I think of it.
They also mention a stamper and scraper (sold separately) which I googled but I couldn't find any info on them.
ETA: Reading more comments, it's not airbrush at all. But a stamp? And special polish? The more I read, the more confused I am.
ETA: OKAY! I found the tutorial and OMG! It's SO cool. I wanna try this out!
Here's a link for the tutorial!

I've seen an infomercial for this
I think they have it at BB&B.

Looked at the tutorial and it looks very cool. Do you need to paint the stencil thing and scrape for every nail?

I'm OBSESSED with these! here are some of photos of manicures I've done.
I have about 6 Konad plates and 21 Bundle Monster plates. (they sell both on amazon). I like the Konad ones better. they seem to be wider for and fit the nail bed better. You use a thick nail polish (Konad Special Nail Polish) and put it on the plate then wipe off the excess with a straight razor. Then use a rubber stamp it comes with to pick up the image and apply it to your nails. ( you need to do it for each nail)

This one reminds me of Henna Mehndi "tattoos" and Indian weddings, both of which I love! I would love to have this one!

Thanks! doing my nails is how I relax lol. At first its a little strange to get used to placement and stuff. But after a few times you get used to it. It takes maybe 10 minutes to do after the color underneath is dry. And even then most of the time is spent cleaning the plate and stamp with 100% acetone (which needs to be done in between doing each nail.) The stamp will sometimes get on your skin but I just clean that up with the acetone and a pointy q-tip. Here is my blog on it, http://thepolishednail.wordpress.com/, I don't really keep up on it though. But the blog http://chloesnails.blogspot.com/ had tons of great ideas and tutorials. She also uses scotch tape to do some designs which is great also, but I find the Konad stamping to be easier. Also searching for Konad nails on youtube helps a lot!

Thank you SO much!!! I used to do designs and french manicures with scotch tape, but I haven't done it since I was a teen- I guess I forgot about it. Sounds like this will be a lot neater anyway. I always get nail polish all over my fingers doing a regular manicure so I have a touch-up pen. I can't wait to try these out!! Thanks again!
