Especially if you are letting them feed themselves. DS whines for my steel fork, I let him play with a little metal spoon from a sugar bowl, teaspoon seems too big.. he seems to like to eat like us, and I think food tastes different off plastic
I don't like the stuff I've seen at BRU, and I want to move away from plastic to sturdy ceramic or glass, anything made for tots? Good quality stuff?

We transitioned Lily slowly...when she first started feeding herself, we had plastic everything - plates, bowls, utensils. When she was about 2 (maybe a little later) we let her use real utensils, but kept the plastic plates and bowls. This past fall, when she was 3.5, we redid our kitchen, and we threw away all of her plastic plates and bowls, and she's been using everything we use. But she always gets the smaller plates, and the dessert forks and teaspoons.
